Reality TV isn’t all bad, especially if you love Karaoke!

Singing/ talent shows have come and gone over the years but this year will be the biggest.
That’s right the 2011 spring/ summer TV season is packed with 5 huge Realtity TV singing competition shows.

Here is the lineup:
1. American Idol on Fox. The biggest of them all, and nearing it’s tenth season American Idol shuffled some celebrity hosts around and did major damage control by removing Ellen DeGeneres and adding Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest are still on board, and the show has regained steam, with more talented contestants being featured then ever before.

2. X Factor. Featuring Simon Cowell, the man who started it all this show also on FOX has been going strong in the United Kindgdom for years. Backed with a huge cash prize of 5 million dollars to the winner and a great line up of celebrity judges, this will definitely rival AI.

3. Singing Bee. This one is brought to you by CMT, the Country Music Television channel available from your local cable network. With country music more pop-u-lar then ever, and with more artists crossing over into the new modern sound of country, this show is sure to be a hit with the American Heartland.

4. The Voice. Seeking to get a percentage of viewership and related ad revenue, NBC is jumping into the trend with their offering, The Voice. Featuring Carson Daly of MTV fame as well as featuring  judges who can actually sing, this show is based on a popular Dutch show and should be a serious contender.

5. America’s Got Talent. This show features a variety of people performing their talent to a live TV audience, but also heavily favors singers, who seem to always appear at the top slot, by judges and viewers votes.  Also from NBC this one features a wide age range of vocal performers.

All these sites featuring some type of Social connection such as a “like” on Facebook, or a Twitter connection, but overall, the lyrics, live vocal scoring and packages could be better.
